Dear Job Seekers: This is my 10th or so job blog for the year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jobing.com for their support of the community, both job seekers as well as employers. During these trying times Jobing.com and its partners provide a valuable service to job seekers through their job postings, tips and hints on résumé writing, cover letters, interviewing skills, networking skills to name a few. Take the time to learn how to use the Jobing.com site and your job search will be productive and fruitful. You are not alone. Read the blogs by experts in the field of employment, whether coach, human resources professionals, authors, recruiters, résumé writers, whomever, Jobing.com makes sure you have access to all types of information, opinions and support. You are not alone. Attend the Career Expos sponsored by Jobing.com, meet the local companies, build relationships do your due diligence and take full advantage of this opportunity. Think about it, you literally can meet and begin business relationships with the 100 plus companies in the community. You are not alone. My advice to all job seekers for the remainder 2008 and as you go into 2009 review your search strategy and the results you have had with it thus far. If it has been working for you, meaning you have had meaningful interviews, whether informational meetings or actual job interviews, keep it going, it takes time and persistence. If it has not been working for you, no interviews on any level, no new names in your contact file, no job offers after interviews, believing there are no jobs out there for you or just running a reactive job search its time to rethink your strategy. Your strategy should incorporate a proactive strategic plan, a list of resources to help you (Jobing.com) should be your home page for your job search and make sure you ask for help and provide assistance so You are not alone in your quest. I wish you all the success and good fortune for the next year, if you see me around town in your networking or speaking at a Jobing.com Expo come up and say hi, become part of my network and add me to yours, I don’t want to be alone either! THANKS JOBING.COM! Thanks for reading my blogs through out the year hope I helped you. Russ Haines, CPRW Tags
