Blog Post: Free resume printing for job seekers
posted Thursday, April 30, 2009 12:32 PM
The Business Journal recently posted an announcement that Office Depot is offering a free service to the unemployed through the month of May. Office Depot is allowing job seekers to make up to 25 black and white single page copies of their resumes for free ( you can also pay for upgrades). In addition, they are allowing people to make up to 5 fax transmissions to prospective employers. I called one of the local stores and verified that all of the locations in the Tampa Bay area will be participating in this month long event.
I would like to provide you with a word of caution about "copying" your resume. Photo-copies of resumes never look as good as the originals and often look unprofessional. Be sure to bring one or two versions of your resume saved to a flash drive or a CD. They can insert the flash drive into their computer and print directly so that your resume retains the same professional image that you worked so hard to develop.
