Blog Post: Candidates - Ten Questions to Ask During Your Interview
posted Monday, November 12, 2007 2:00 AM
Here are 10 questions to ask during your next interview. When coupled with your pre-interview preparation, you will place yourself into position to obtain your career goals.
Why is this position available right now? How many times has this position been filled in the past 5 years? What should the new person do differently from the last person? What would you most like to see done in the next 6 months? What are the most difficult problems that this job entails? How much freedom do I have in the decision making process? How has this company succeeded in the past? What are my opportunities for advancement? What changes do you envision in near future for this company? What do you think constitutes success in this job? Lastly, remember to always steer clear of asking any personal questions or any questions that are not directly job related. Never ask questions about salary, benefits, or what the company does (you should do your research in advance).
