For years, the way to improve supply chain profitability was to squeeze inventory. There are many stories about dramatic reductions, but the emergence of new electronic channels and micro-segmentation of target markets left few companies with the ability to effectively manage demand as they cut inventory. As a result, companies today find themselves dealing with demand that originates in disparate, disconnected channels and that comes in many formats. It’s a complex environment loaded with inefficiency, redundancy, and lack of control that challenges operations and IT, ultimately leaving companies with unacceptable levels of risk. Jagged Peak is dedicated to helping companies solve their complex demand-side supply chain issues with practical, cost-effective solutions. We recognized early on that the Internet is the ideal medium for addressing the complexities of global demand chains. In response we developed our EDGE (E-Business Demand Global Engine) platform to resolve them. We also operate warehousing and distribution centers and apply advances in EDGE to our own operations immediately. Similarly, advances made in our fulfillment operations also enrich EDGE, making it a stronger platform overall.

We built EDGE as an enterprise-level e-business platform capable of standing alone, but we know many businesses already have substantial investment in technologies to support their supply chains. So, EDGE also contains built-in integration tools for all major ERP, WMS, TMS, financial, CRM, and analytical applications, allowing it to serve as an extension of SAP, Oracle, and other systems.
