Bienvenidos al Capítulo de Tampa Bay. Welcome to our Tampa Bay Chapter.
Our chapter has accomplished and actually surpassed many of the goals set at the beginning of the year. I believe that my greatest asset and the success of my leadership has been my passion for the mission of this organization and for what we represent. The passion aligned with strategic thinking, supported by proper mentors and exercised with specific objectives through team work is the true recipe for a successful rest of 2006 and 2007.
My vision, as Chapter President, is to be able to keep not only growing this chapter in numbers but to grow the leadership skills of my members, to be able to give them the opportunities to network with individuals that will impact their lives in a positive way and to demonstrate to those companies looking for employees and universities looking for students that we have professional talent.
To achieve this mission I plan to 1)Keep increasing the number of corporate and community partners that can provide opportunities for our members 2)Allow opportunities for the membership to develop leadership skills and be involved in committees 3)Promote and increase the scholarship and fellowships we have available to potential students.
I truly believe in the skills and potential of all of the board members and members of the Tampa Bay Chapter. All of the Tampa Bay board members are self motivated individuals that are very active in the community and are not selfish about volunteering their time. To help the board continue to work together, I plan to continue with a very professional approach - understanding their individual needs. We are instituting committees which will help our chapter in succession planning and in engaging more of the membership for us to reach our objectives.
I encourage all of those reading this to join our board or our committees and start taking advantage of all the benefits and training this great organization has for all locally and nationally.
