Job: Store Manager

Our modern 10,000 to 16,500 square foot facilities house over 100,000 pairs of shoes. The quality of our products and the knowledge of our staff are the reason that Peltz Shoes is the #1 shoe store in Pinellas County since 1957.

We have expanded into Sarasota and looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager.

As a Store Manager, you will manage the daily operations of the retail store. You will be responsible for achieving profitable sales results and promoting superior customer service. You will supervise staff and make decisions and recommendations on hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, development, and employee relations. In this role, you will work on the selling floor and ensure the security of associates, merchandise, and store assets. You will analyze sales and gross profit and set goals for Assistants and Department Leads accordingly. You will work with central management to develop seasonal action plans and you will discuss merchandise mix, average inventory levels, and model stocks to improve sales performance.

Three plus years experience in retail management (soft-lines experience a plus!)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a 20 plus person team.
