Job: Inside Sales

The people of UTEK Information Services are accelerating the growth of companies by providing market information databases with breakthroughs in science and technology.
We are seeking motivated individuals who have 3 years prior inside sales experience with an information services or Internet-based company with a desire to succeed. This position has direct client contact in a sales role.

This person will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process for multiple technology transfer and business development information services. This position has direct client contact in a sales role, as well as in a training capacity. The services are sold worldwide resulting in evening or early morning work schedules to coincide with client time zones for scheduling demonstrations. In addition to all aspects of the sales closing cycle, the Account Representative will be responsible for user training and searching support. This job requires a working knowledge of every database, function and service across all product lines. In addition to the support and training role, the position incorporates a product development component, as customer feedback drives product enhancements. A thorough understanding of competitor databases, features and pricing is also required.

This person should be a high achiever with the following skill set and experience:

Minimum of 3 years experience inside sales

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Outgoing positive personality required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

New business development, cold calling/prospecting experience

Ability to place high volume out-bound calls from a database of leads provided and identify new potential leads

Strong PC skills and experience

Share a commitment to excellent customer service

BS degree preferred.
