Job: Order Production Supervisor

Jagged Peak is a fast-paced and rapidly growing e-commerce and supply chain/fulfillment company. We provide order fulfillment services to manufacturing companies from several warehouse locations throughout the US and Canada. We have a rather impressive domestic and international client base.

We are seeking an individual to supervise, organize and manage the pick and pack area in order to expedite the order processing workflow. The supervisor will work closely with the Department Manager to consistently go the extra mile in order to help achieve daily production goals.

Supervisor will have responsibility for employees in pick/pack team, ship/pack prep team, and light assembly areas to insure orders and projects are processed in a timely manner. The supervisor will be a coach and mentor to subordinate staff.

**Must have a flexible schedule. Core hours are typically 10AM-8PM, but can vary by season. Supervisor schedule typically does not vary outside of 8AM-8PM, though on occasion other hours may temporarily be necessary. This schedule allows us to provide excellent service to our clients, particularly during our upcoming peak season.

The supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager in maintaining and improving the department’s performance and practices. It is expected that the supervisor will participate in the process of establishing measurable milestones for all team members, to be a mentor to all team members, and assist in identifying leaders and encourage upward mobility.

This is a hands-on position in an all hands on-deck company. You will be working alongside employees, while providing training, guidance and supervising.

In this position you will:

Manage and perform all pick/pack functions and order processing.

Assist the department manager with the supervision and training of hourly personnel.

Assist the department manager in tracking absences, vacation time, and hours worked of the hourly personnel.

Assist the department manager in tracking performance, discipline, and enforcement of all company policies and procedures.

Manage product staging.

Monitor personnel to insure maximum efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of department operations.

Assist the manager in encouraging all team members to improve skills and knowledge.

Record all job numbers and employee's time accurately on timesheets daily.

Assist the manager in monitoring employee's attitude towards their job. Notify your manager of any ideas, problems, or concerns.

Maintain a comfortable environment for all employees (minimize distractions and excessive talking).

Assess equipment and material requirements.

3-5 yrs of recent supervisory experience working in a warehouse distribution center.

Must have flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (frequent lifting up to 20 lbs)

Verifiable knowledge of picking, packing, load operations, and light assembly.

Take charge attitude when dealing with full time and temporary warehouse personnel.

Able to carryout the department manager’s instructions with minimal supervision.

Ability to work cooperatively and supportively with management, supervisors, staff, and human resources.

Excellent recordkeeping and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills.
