Jobing Description
Responsible for a variety of duties relating to the administration and operation of the Risk Management Department and the supervision of the department’s staff. Ensures adherence to collections policies, procedures, fraud, state, and federal laws and regulations. Monitors and analyzes economic conditions affecting the risk management department and recommend appropriate action.
Scope: Direct Reports 4-6 Indirect Reports 43-47 Responsible for the collection of $1.6 billion dollar portfolio and all fraud and loss prevention of a $2.1 billion dollar credit union. Key Areas of Responsibility: Skills / Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree obtained through a formal 4 year program at an accredited educational facility; may be waived with equivalent experience. Previous Experience Needed: 5-10 years related experience. Language: Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and/or board of directors. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts to such tasks as analysis of variance and factor analysis. Problem Solving: Work is substantially complex and varied and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures, in combination. Analytical ability is needed to gather and interpret data where answers can be found only after careful analysis of several facts. Problems typically require significant analysis and judgment. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Effect of Decisions: Decisions typically can affect several departments or functional areas. Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel and Word as well as web based products. Important Notes
