Job: Software Engineer II — SQL/Crystal Reports/BMC Service Desk Express

The Software Engineer ll has an active role in the design, development, testing and support stages of project life cycle. The Engineer will work with business analysts to prepare project design specifications. This position adds input to the design of systems and projects, and may work on a one-person project or function as part of a team. The position is heavily involved in the development level of customizing existing IT productivity applications and new application development. The position is extremely active in the testing stage of defect identification and plays an integral role in system integration.

Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and maintain code modules contained in the BMC Service Desk Express production system


• Create and maintain build documentation


• Develop module testing procedures


• Play a role in the application analysis and design stages


• Create, modify, publish and maintain Crystal Reports

Minimum Requirements:

• Advanced experience with SQL and Crystal Reports


• Experience with Web scripting/development (asp, html, xml)


• Advanced MS Office experience


• Above average knowledge in the stages of design and implementation


• Expert understanding of the Project Life Cycle stages of definition, analysis, development, testing and support


• Good written and oral communication skills


• Highly self motivated and directed

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or similar


• Understanding of call center applications and IVR programming language

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with 24/7 on call pager duty
