Job: GROUNDS SUPERVISOR

The Seminole Tribe of Florida was the first to pave the way for Native American gaming in the United States more than 25 years ago and now owns and operates seven Seminole Gaming facilities throughout the state; including Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Hard Hotel & Casino Tampa and Seminole Casinos in Big Cypress, Brighton, Coconut Creek, Hollywood and Immokalee. The gaming facilities are among the most successful in the country. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos in Hollywood & Tampa have been designated with the prestigious Four Diamond rating by the American Automobile Association (AAA).

The Seminole Tribe is one of the oldest recognized American Indian Tribes in the United States and currently has 3,000 members on six reservations.

Headquartered on the Seminole Hollywood Reservation, the Seminole Tribe of Florida is a sovereign government and manages reservations in many parts of Florida. In addition to providing essential government services to its members, the Tribe is active in many businesses in addition to gaming. Other business interests include agriculture, tourism, sports and real estate.


SUMMARY:
Oversees the efficient and effective operation of the Grounds department to provide a positive and safe guest experience. Knowledge of native and non-native plants, maintenance of turf, irrigation systems as well as pool and fountain operations.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.

Coordinates landscaping needs of the property.

Coordinate rental of equipment as necessary.

Provide operational, staffing and equipment recommendations to optimize service provided by Grounds Keeping Team.

Repairs and maintains grounds department.

Assists with set-ups for pool parties and special events.

Orders and maintains inventory of plants used throughout property.

Hangs and adjusts sound points as appropriate.

Coordinates testing and maintenance of pools, fountains, water features, and irrigation systems.

Promotes positive guest/employee relations.

Supervises, provides leadership, direction, and training as necessary to the Grounds Team

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or trade school certificate required, and 4+ years of related practical experience with landscaping, irrigation, pools, and fountains. Experience must include supervision of team members.
