The Orthopedic Clinical Services Coordinator works across the organization within the specialty, acting as a practitioner, educator, change agent and leader in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved orthopedic outcomes. This position coordinates and facilitates clinical care, adoption of evidence based practice standards, supports research, and quality/performance improvement activities for all patients throughout the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills orthopedic continuum of care. This position collaborates with physicians, and the full medical center team to improve and develop systems and methods to enhance care, positively effect outcomes and influence organizational throughput for the orthopedic patient population.

Bachelor's required; Master's Degree in Nursing, strongly preferred. Valid Florida RN License required. Certification as Orthopedic Nurse (ONC) preferred. Valid Basic Life Support Certification required. Clinical Nurse Specialist strongly preferred.

A minimum of three- five years of clinical experience in orthopedic area. Experience with patient education. Independent clinical decision making capacity

Program improvement/development. Care of patient with orthopedic conditions. Provision of education for nursing staff Adult learning theory. Change theory. Physical assessment with focus on orthopedic specialty. Nursing processes. Managed care and regulatory mandates.
