Suncoast Hospice in Clearwater, FL, the nation's largest not-for-profit, community-based provider of hospice and palliative care offering solace and treatment to tens of thousands of people annually, is currently seeking a seasoned, team-oriented Medical Director to keep our patient and family centered focus at the forefront of our services. A successful candidate will assume responsibility for leading change management activities throughout the medical services and the agency while maintaining an active presence in the medical community. He/she must align the goals of medical services with the organizational goals set forth by the executive leadership team, as well as promote, articulate and model the mission, vision and values of the organization with the medical staff, teams and departments. The Medical Director will support and identify with Suncoast Hospice's organizational philosophy, goals, and objectives, ensure that the delivery of medical care is accomplished according to relevant state and federal regulations, and mentor/coach staff on providing exceptional patient care.

1. Doctor of Medicine or Osteopath who is Florida licensed pursuant to Chapter 458 or 459 Florida Statutes
2. Supports and identifies with Suncoast Hospice's organizational philosophy, goals, and objectives.
3. Certified by the Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine within two years following hire.

Position requires on call and some weekends
