At Suncoast Hospice, the Senior Clinical Systems Analyst serves as a key onsite clinical MIS resource for systems analysis, configuration, deployment, and support for a broad set of clinical applications. Primary responsibilities include the analysis of current clinical system related needs and the identification of process improvement opportunities. The Senior Clinical Systems Analyst ensures that clinical information systems are configured to meet the current and future needs of responsible departments. Evaluates, analyzes and recommends procedural changes to ensure all clinical applications are utilized for maximum efficiency, quality and patient safety. Incumbent is expected to provide leadership and facilitation of the agencies core clinical systems team on clinical MIS activities, second and third level support as a broad clinical subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests received from the various clinical departments, MIS Service Desk, and engage leadership of new module/application testing and implementation for the agency. This individual provides project leadership for agency based implementations of clinical application software releases and new products.

Required:
* Generally requires knowledge obtained through 7 or more years of experience in clinical discipline with working knowledge of computer concepts and an understanding of data flow and health care related information systems. Licensing or credentials within specific clinical specialty preferred, if available.
* Five years experience in implementing and supporting clinical applications in a health care delivery setting.
* Broad based understanding of clinical operations and processes
* Experience in the development of training strategies and tools for changes resulting from system enhancements, upgrades and new Agency Initiatives.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clinical and information technology personnel verbally and in writing
* Demonstrated customer orientation
* Excellent leadership, teaching, and decision making abilities
* Demonstrated advanced computer skills
* Understanding of reporting tools functionality and capabilities
* System Design Experience
* Project Management Experience
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite
* Demostrated experience with vendor's technical support team.
* Good understanding of computer and network operations
* Understanding of HIPAA policies and directives

Preferred:
* Education and practical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
* Clinical Background in Hospice or Home Health Care
* Proficiency in clinical application documentation and reporting tools
* License to practice in the State of Florida (Informatics Certification preferred)
* Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policies and directives
* Working Knowledge of Windows operating systems

Education:
* Associates Degree and advanced technical training required. Bachelor's degree preferred.~
