Job: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

JOB TITLE: LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
DEPARTMENT: Health Center
SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing or Unit Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards that govern facility.

Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with
Westminster Services and it’s communities.

Promotes and communicates Legendary Service and honors and upholds the

Responsible for acting and responding in a professional manner.

Assists in nursing duties by carrying out delegated, selected duties under the
supervision of the Director of Nursing or Unit Manager.

Carries out nursing department duties on a regular basis, acting within the
reasonable scope of practice for a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a License Practical Nurse.

Must be CPR Certified.

Experience & Basic Knowledge: One year of long term care desirable.
Med/Surg, Home Health experience helpful. Also, working with the handicapped,
developmentally disabled adults, or older adults preferred. Will train on-the-job in
lieu of above experience.

Physical and Environmental Requirements. The physical activities of this
position involve:

Fingering Lifting up to 40 lbs. Standing

Grasping pushing Stooping

Kneeling Reaching

Sensory and communicative activities with or without prosthetics of this
position are:
