Job: Physical Therapist

JOB TITLE: PHYSICAL THERAPIST
DEPARTMENT: Therapy Services
SUPERVISOR: Therapy Manager

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: May supervise Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapist Aides, Rehab Techs and/or Rehab Aides and students involved in the Program.

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload. Participates in the clinical team process. Provides teaching and training to care giver staff.
Involvement in clinical program development. Supervises other licensed therapists, assistants, technicians, aides and students as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and it’s communities.

Promotes and communicates Legendary Service and honors and upholds the mission of the organization.

Responsible for acting and responding in a professional manner.

Assists in therapy duties by carrying out delegated, selected duties under the supervision of the Program Manager.

Carries out therapy duties on a regular basis, acting within the reasonable scope of practice for a Physical Therapist.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist.

Experience and Basic Knowledge:

One year of long term care desirable.

Med-surg, Home Health experience helpful.

Also, working with the handicapped or developmentally disabled, or older adults preferred.
