Job: MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing and the direct supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, incumbent is responsible for assisting the medical provider.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Assist the medical provider.
2. Take vital signs.
3. Assist in minor surgery.
4. Translate.
5. Take care of all surgical instruments.
6. Clean and stock exam rooms.
7. If applicant has experience in other fields he/she will be expected to help out in those areas if needed.
8. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
9. Other duties as assigned.

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Diploma in approved Medical Assisting program
3. Experience as medical assistant required.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
6. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
