Job: Counselor - CAT

Founded more than 50 years ago, Manatee Glens is a not-for-profit provider of mental health and addiction services. In addition, our specialty services include Child Welfare Services (foster care supervision), a Rape Crisis Program, outreach and education services to prevent addictions before they begin and an employee assistance program.

Manatee Glens is the community’s oldest and largest provider of mental health and addiction services. Throughout our history, when help is needed for those in crisis, Manatee Glens has been available to provide resources.

We are currently seeking a Counselor - CAT.

Provides counseling services to children and adolescents with mental health and/or substance abuse issues as well as their families.

Requires Master’s Degree in counseling or a related field as well as 2 years experience working with children and adolescents with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.

Current FL licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) not required but is preferred.

Must feel comfortable working in the community and have knowledge of community resources.

Requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a well established team.

Valid Florida Driver’s License with safe driving record is required as is use of personal vehicle with reimbursed mileage.

Hours will generally fall during regular business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, however some evenings and weekends may be required based on client scheduling needs.

Position also requires rotating on-call hours to respond to client emergencies.
