Job: Preschool Teacher

R'Club Child Care, Inc. was established in 1976 in Pinellas County as a not-for-profit organization to provide high quality, accessible and affordable school age child care in response to a critical need identified by a community wide task force. Over the years, R'Club has expanded to include locations throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties and provides full day preschool, before and after school and extended learning programs for over 4,000 children daily. We have more than 40 centers, serving children ages 2 - 14 and exceptional students ages 3 - 22.

We are looking for a Preschool Teacher!

You will be responsible for providing direct supervision and care for a group of children through a caring, positive, authoritative relationship. Makes children feel welcome and comfortable. Assists in the planning and implementing of scheduled period(s) of activities, which are developmentally appropriate and ensures the safety and well being of the children as well as providing a model of quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Prepares and maintain lessons for classroom instruction.

Maintains attendance records for a designated group of children and adheres to regular work and activity schedules. Assists in food preparation and distribution.

Establishes and Maintains control and safety of an assigned group of children. Assures the orderliness and cleanliness of designated work area(s).

Serves as an effective role model for the children by Assisting children in a way that develops the child’s role and initiative and Interacts in ways that help them learn.

Assists children with feeding and bathroom needs i.e., changing diapers, helping child to restroom, feed child, etc.

Attends staff meetings, training events, workshops, etc. and Maintains required level of training hours with required documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with R’Club’s mission and program goals. Must have the physical ability to lift children as needed or physically separate children as needed and participate in housekeeping responsibilities. Requires ability to work beyond scheduled time, be punctual and reliable, can be reached via telephone and be able to take direction. Must adhere to the procedures for reporting child abuse.
