Jobing Description

Is responsible for all technical aspects of the Pathology Department. Ensures daily efficient operation, performs and coordinates clerical duties with personnel in the organization.

Skills / Requirements

Must be licensed as a Histotechnologist by the state of Florida.

CLIA requirements for grossing surgical specimens.

Manual dexterity to manipulate slides, blocks and specimens.

Assists the Pathologist with cutting and staining of frozen sections for rapid diagnosis.

Must log and process cytology specimens and fine needle aspirations.

Perform staining, coverslipping and labeling of specimens.

Assists the pathologist in grossing procedures.

Important Notes

PT to start but may turn into full time position.
HOURS MAY VARY IN THE BEGINNING DURING TRAINING BUT WILL WORK WITH QUALIFIED CANDIDATE.
