Job Description:
Performs substance abuse and mental health counseling work with adult clients in an outpatient methadone treatment setting. Counselor's duties include but are not limited to screening, assessment, individual/group counseling, and treatment planning.Responsible for servicing primary caseload along with other clients as assigned. The counselor is also responsible for documenting in accordance with company standards.

Counselor must posses competency in the following eight practice dimensions:Clinical Evaluation, Treatment Planning, Referral, Service Coordination, Counseling Education, Client, Family and Community Education, Documentation and Professional and Ethical Responsibilities. Must also posses age specific knowledge and competencies applicable to the client population served.

Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree with two years of directly related substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred. Additional experience in substance abuse direct service may be substituted for specific counseling experience.
