Job: Delivery Specialist

The delivery specialist is responsible to make product deliveries to customers home. This frequently necessitates the movement of products weighing up to 100 pounds to accomplish this responsibility. They install the product, check for proper operation and instruct the customer on the operation and benefits of their new Buddys Home Furnishings product. When appropriate, the delivery specialist will help the customer understand the terms of the rental agreement and the various features of the product and the rental program. The delivery specialist will also pick up merchandise that is no longer needed or wanted by the customer and perform service calls as needed. The delivery specialist is responsible to clean all products that are returned to the store and insure they are in good working order. They maintain the back room, keep it clean and properly arranged to make it safe and easy to find products and supplies. The delivery specialist will be expected to follow all laws relating to the operation of company vehicles and must have a valid Florida Class D drivers license and a good driving record in order to drive a company vehicle. The delivery specialist maintains their company vehicle and insures they are in good working order and preventative maintenance schedules are met. They are a traveling billboard for Buddys Home Furnishings and drive with caution and courtesy and follow all State Laws and BHF policy as it relates to vehicles. As one of the first employees to perform a service for our customers, the delivery specialist has the unique opportunity to create a great first impression of our company. This will insure that they will continue to do business with our company and refer us to friends and relatives resulting in store growth and success.

Personal Characteristics
Ability to move product weighing up to 100 pounds. Ability to read & write.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid Florida Drivers License. Ability to obtain a Class D license within 2 weeks of hire. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
