Job: Production Planner

Responsible for all aspects of production control and customer support within the program team cell. Plans and prepares program specific production schedules for the manufacture of cable and wire harness assemblies for prime military contractors and other OEM customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops program specific schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders.

Assists Master Scheduler with forecasting and long range planning.

Analyzes production specifications and capacity data and assists team with resource planning and allocation.

Plans and schedules workflow for Program team and in accordance with team designed initiatives.

Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.

Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

Prepares Program production reports.

Provides customer support for all aspects of the production build from order entry to product delivery.

Responsible for timely response on all issues to the customer via E-mail and phone.

Identifies highest priority orders to other team members and determines path forward to meet customer requirements and accomplish company objectives.

Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications:
5-10 years in a production control position in a high volume manufacturer of products for the military or OEM customers.

Excellent mathematical ability to evaluate and assess resources and variables that impact production.

Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain working relationships with various departmental representatives.

Necessary computer skills to track and document various schedules, projects and resource availability.

Ability to evaluate and document information in an understandable format for management review.
