Job: IT Systems Manager

The IT Systems Manager participates in the execution and completion of IT projects. This individual will work to ensure that all infrastructure components, hardware and software, network and desktops are installed as required to satisfy customer and project objectives and all the necessary monitoring and alert mechanisms are in place to meet SLA’s etc.

• Installation of network infrastructure components, desktop systems, departmental systems and other peripherals as required to satisfy project objectives and customer requirements.
• Maintain client and customer relations
• Supervise resources, procurement, planning and the preparation of all relevant and required documentation including Operational Documentation, change management and quality assurance.
• The incumbent will interact with groups internal and external to the organization, and will be expected to conform to and utilize existing and forthcoming policies and processes.
• Managing vendor relationships
• Overseeing and managing multiple projects, varying in size and complexity
• Supervising others.

Minimum requirements (essential)

• B.S. in Computer Science
• Experience with networking protocols and components (hubs, switches and routers), cabling and wireless technologies. Excellent PC, hardware and software knowledge.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting Microsoft server software in a web based environment.
• Experience in SAN and VM implementation and utilization.
• Experience in implementing and utilizing Microsoft Data Center
• Strong background in data center security best practices.
• Understanding of Project Management methodologies with the ability to create and maintain project schedules and budget.
• An understanding of ITIL.
• Experience in managing technical and vendor resources.
• Experience in interfacing with clients, executives, vendors and peers, etc.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to do technical documentation (Visio, Excel, etc) as required.
• Team oriented, focused, conservative approach; thorough and results oriented.

Additional requirements (desirable)
