Jobing Description
This position is responsible for administrative tasks and provision of client services. The Outreach & Program Development Specialist will assist the Program Director with providing leadership, supervision and management of the program services designed by the agency. This position must maintain a wide range of working relationships internally and externally, advocate for client-driven and responsive services, and provide consistent leadership for team. The individual holding this position helps to ensure quality services to clients through the training of staff and development of community partnerships.

•Assists Program Director in the administration and marketing of the Youth Arts Corps Program.
•Coordinates exhibits/performances.
•Coordinates arts workshops in community settings.
•Evaluates, trains and recruits artist staff.
•Coordinates the RFP process for arts workshops.
•Facilitates partnership opportunities for off site workshops, program enhancements and special projects.
•Develops, updates and manages program website and on-going multi media outreach efforts.
•Co-facilitates artists meetings.
•Develops and tracks outreach plan.
•Gives outreach presentations and attends outreach events to promote program awareness, participant recruitment and donor support.
•Manages printed material needs.
•Documents youth artwork and performances.
•Generates monthly and quarterly reports on program activities, evaluation and accomplishments for grants and other needs.
•Assists in the scheduling of community service projects and field trips for after-school and community based programs.
•Assists with coverage of after-school and community-based programs as needed.
•Develops resource collection of arts workshop ideas.
•Tracks select program budget line items.
•Prepares payroll timesheet and invoices for artists.
•Researches and recommends most economical and suitable arts supplies and equipment.
•Assists in artist and youth care worker training and technical assistance to arts and human service organizations.
•Attends Arts Education Consortium meetings and events.
•Assists in financial development through grant writing, resource development, marketing of student work and direct fund raising.
•Assists with tracking of Youth Arts Corps budget.
•Must attend the JWB B.E.S.T. Initiative Youth Development training and receive certification through the Advanced Youth Development level.
•Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
•Performs other tasks as assigned.
•Maintains the highest professional standards, ethics and practices upheld by Family Resources.


Skills / Requirements
•BA/BS in related field, plus previous experience working with at-risk youth through the arts.
•Working knowledge of all disciplines in the arts and mastery of one.
•Ability to work effectively with others.
•Ability to facilitate workshops in one of the arts with youth.
•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Must demonstrate awareness and acceptance of cultural differences of clients, staff and community contacts.
•Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and cell phone and must be eligible to obtain a CDL – P license
