Job: Insurance Sales Agent (CLOSER)

Job Summary:
Sells individual health insurance, including Under 65 and Over 65 plans, dental, and life insurance to new and current Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida clients via both inbound and outbound calls. Receives call from and contacts prospective clients and explains features and benefits of policies offered, recommending type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's health status and budget, utilizing persuasive sales techniques. Attempts to retain existing customers who need a more appropriate plan for their changing needs. Calculates and quotes premium rates for recommended policies. Utilizes online quoting and application systems. Utilizes underwriting guidelines to pre-screen applicants based on health status. Follows up on underwriting requests for medical records and additional information. Attempts to upsell the prospect on additional plans. Must hold license issued by state. The agent will be expected to operate with a quality mindset while striving to reach daily, weekly and monthly sales and quality performance goals.

Responsibilities:
• Presenting quality client offers to prospective customers.
• Managing leads by tracking and following up on them.
• Conducting sales presentations and product demos via the phone and internet.
• Closing sales and Striving to meet client and center related goals in accordance with development plan.
• Working with Affiliate Sales to cross generate leads.
• Participates in creating a positive work environment.
• Maintain flexibility in assignment of programs.
• Implement feedback from Supervisors to enhance growth and performance.
• Promptly report for each scheduled shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Minimum six months telesales/outbound calling experience
