Dietary Aide
We now have an opportunity for a Part-Time Dietary Aide, 4:00pm - 7:30pm, four days a week (varied) includes weekends.

High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in healthcare setting preferred. Individual must be able to effectively communicate in English and be sensitive to the residents and families at the facility.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Assisting in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis (i.e. tray line).
• Serving food in accordance with specific diet orders and resident request per - tray ticket.
• Assisting in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Cleaning work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc., sweeping and mopping floors as directed, carrying soiled utensils, etc., to wash area, returning clean utensils to proper storage areas, washing and cleaning utensils as directed, and carrying out garbage and keeping work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Setting up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed
• Assisting cook in preparing meals.
• Obtaining food supplies for next meal.
• Assisting in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Developing and maintaining a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility to ensure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
• Effectively performing other duties as required.
