Job: Behavior Therapist

We will collaborate within our communities to provide education, delinquency prevention/intervention, substance abuse prevention/intervention, mental health, and child welfare services.

This is a professional position that is responsible for providing one-to-one behavior intervention services to referred children up to age 18 within the child welfare system in Hillsborough County.

Master’s degree from an accredited college in psychology, behavioral science, social work or a related field, preferred.

Must have a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field, with a minimum of 2 year’s successful experience working with children, their families and other members of a collaborative team.

This clinical professional is responsible for the provision and implementation of instructional and behavioral programs designed to meet each assigned child’s needs.

Will work with family members and other caregivers in learning how to effectively use techniques to modify the child’s behavior and meet established goals.

Work will include office, home and community visits, and attendance at team staffings, timely record keeping and data collection.
