Position Summary: This position includes development and maintenance of ASP.net web applications

Class and Grade



This is a full-time salaried position.  Benefits include medical, dental, vision, matching 401k, short term disability, basic life insurance and paid time off in accordance with company policy.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential Job Functions (the fundamental job duties, the reason the position exists)

• Maintenance of existing web applications

o Debugging and resolving bugs in existing applications

o Adding new features based on user requests

o Monitoring logs

o Generate reports on collected data

• Building new applications

o Collecting of requirements

o Building of user interfaces using current web technologies

• Building utilities for automation

o Tools for data import/export

o Tools for push reports

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• ASP.net/VB.net

• Microsoft IIS 7

• SQL Server 2008 (TSQL)

• Website frontends (CSS, Google Web Fonts, HTML, Javascript, JQuery)

• Visual Studio 2008

• Communication skills using speech and writing

• Ability to work in as a team



Other Helpful Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Linux Apache MySQL and PHP (LAMP)

• XML (querying and manipulation)

• Familiarity with workings of relevant network technologies (TCP/HTTP)

• Familiarity with version control systems (Subversion)

• Consuming and publishing of web services

Qualifications/Employment Standards

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required

Experience in the field or in a related area helpful

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
