Primary Responsibilities include: Come join our multidisciplinary response team who works with local law enforcement investigators and other community agencies. This incumbent will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. This will include a forensic exam, obtaining photographic documentation, providing post assault medications per protocol, issuing referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up and advocate for victims in legal proceedings. Our team participates in a 24 hour on-call rotation to respond on site or in a community setting to perform examinations. Incumbent will be expected to Complete Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training and any updates required to maintain that certification. Work is performed in office and places such as hospital, nursing home, county jail, etc. Please note that this is an On-Call position and applicants must be available during daytime hours. Must have valid Florida driver's license, have automobile liability insurance, personal vehicle and a driving record that is acceptable to Suncoast Center. Must be able to complete a level II background screening and pre-employment drug test in compliance with Florida Law.
Education: Registered Nurse or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
Licensure: Must hold a Florida license as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or a Registered Nurse.
Experience: Registered Nurse with at least one year of experience in Midwifery, OB/GYN, ER, Women’s Health or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner including a clinical rotation in Midwifery, OB/GYN, ER, Women’s Health.
